Graphene Manufacturing Group is proud to be the recipient of a $390k Australian Research Council grant with The University of Queensland for the final stage development of a graphene enhanced aluminium ion battery. The rechargeable aluminium battery could replace existing storage devices, such as alkaline batteries, which are bad for the environment, and lithium-ion batteries, which occasionally burst into flames. The battery is planned to weigh three times less than those currently on the market, and is able to charge your phone in just a few minutes.
